• The mission of the TBHS shall be to identify, research, study, preserve, and celebrate the history of Talking Boards, its founders and peoples. More particularly, its objectives shall be: To promote the interest in and study of Talking Board history. To preserve and designate locations with historic connections to Talking Boards. To celebrate significant dates in Talking Board history. To unite people of similar interests and promote a fuller understanding of Talking Boards, their historical significance, and their place in popular culture. To accomplish these goals through the establishment of clearly defined and accepted conservation, research, and interpretation policies and procedures. To ensure that all programs, functions, and events of the organization, including membership, shall be made available to anyone regardless of race, color, age, national origin, marital status, disability, religious or political affiliation, gender, or sexual preference. That this organization shall have the power to apply for and receive grants, accept bequests, and establish and maintain an endowment fund for carrying out the above-stated purposes. The organization is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
