• 15-40 Connection is a nonprofit organization saving lives by teaching people how to detect cancer early. Its 3 Steps Detect has led to the early detection of cancer as well as many other illness.15-40 Connection was founded after learning about the devastating impact delayed diagnosis has on cancer survival rates. They found that it was a largely unrecognized problem receiving little attention but intuitively knew that delayed diagnosis could be mitigated through patient education and doctor-patient collaboration. A search revealed that no one was addressing the issue.---THE IMPACT OF EARLY DETECTIONAs the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine stated in the 2015 report, Improving Diagnosis in Healthcare, The delivery of healthcare has proceeded for decades with a blind spot: Diagnostic errors inaccurate or delayed diagnosis persist throughout all settings of care and continue to harm an unacceptable number of patients. ---OUR PHILOSOPHIESHealthcare starts with you.
