• Centiment enables market researchers and everyday businesses to create a survey and get answers from a better online panel of respondents. The company does this by enabling schools and other non-profits to run fundraisers through its apps. Each survey completed by a parent generates a donation to their child's school. Online surveys are nothing new, but the struggle to collect meaningful information from panelists continues to be a big problem. The issue stems from a lack of focus on the survey takers. Disregard for the experience of the respondent encourages bad behavior, and in turn, leads to the collection of questionable data. The most pressing issue lies in disqualifications. In most survey panels today, a respondent can begin a survey only to be told several minutes in that they don't qualify. They are then terminated without reward. This poor treatment incentivizes false reporting in order to qualify for a survey and earn a cash payment. When Centiment decided to enter the survey market, it set its sights on collecting the highest-quality information. It understood this started with the respondent. In turn, the company built its own survey platform from the ground up. The company put a twist on the incentivization model as well. Instead of recruiting respondents that wanted to earn money for themselves, Centiment focused on hosting fundraisers that benefited schools and other nonprofits.
