• Our mission is to improve the lives of people with learning disabilities through prevention, evaluation, treatment and research.Prevention - Research highlights the importance of the early years of child development. When we provide very young children with high quality learning experiences, we reduce the need for more intensive interventions later in life. LPLC is active and engaged in early childhood education across Idaho - working side by side with preschool teachers, parents and other organizations. Evaluation - We understand more than ever about the role of executive function and information processing in the learning process. Our evaluations include assessments of these critical areas to understand the nature of a child's learning disability and to develop effective treatments.Intervention -Using the most recent, research-based strategies and techniques, we develop unique services for each and every client based on individual needs. We provide not only academic interventions, but also counseling to address the social and emotional needs of children with learning disabilities. Research -LPLC is engaged in cutting edge research examining new ways to identify at very young ages children at elevated risk for learning disabilities. We're also piloting alternate service delivery models, including online services so that we can reach people in Idaho who cannot physically access our centers.
