• Wings of Hope provides equine assisted activities for children and adults with unique physical, mental, and emotional challenges and disabilities. Wings of Hope Equitherapy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a Premier Accredited Center through the Professional Association for Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) International. PATH is the largest therapeutic horsemanship organization in the world. Wings of Hope Equitherapy was founded in 1996 as a Christian ministry to provide equine assisted activities for children and adults with physical, mental and emotional disabilities and challenges. Our program has grown to provide direct interaction with horses through riding and equine assisted activities as well as professional equine assisted counseling services. We serve all people who enter our grounds regardless of religious preference, race, creed, color or background. Wings of Hope is located on a 25-acre facility in north Johnson County, Texas between the cities of Burleson and Cleburne. Most of our clients typically reside in Tarrant and Johnson counties. Our herd of equine therapy partners consists of 22 horses, including 2 miniature horses. The miniature horses participate in professional play therapy sessions facilitated by licensed professional counselors to provide counseling and psychotherapy for 3-9 year olds. The diversity of the herd enables us to provide a variety of equine assisted activities and therapies including therapeutic riding sessions and professional mental health counseling and psychotherapy sessions with adults, children, and adolescents. Our facility includes a covered riding arena, ten-stall barn, a hay barn, offices, and meeting rooms.
