• Our Mission:Elevated Thought is an art-based 501(c)(3) organization that serves, inspires and develops communities through youth empowerment curriculums and beautification projects. We tend to the soil of communities, both morally and artistically, through various art mediums - making hope tangible. Programs:Creative. Community. Change. (C3) & Wall SpeakC3 encourages students to examine societal issues and pushes them to explore new ideas through discussion and debate, poetry, and various visual art mediums - developing creative solutions for social issues in the process. This culminates in a collaborative community art project addressing a social issue or issues and solutions often involving a historical and cultural context. Murals & Beautification Elevated Thought Murals provide funds for C3 programs and operating costs as well as community beautification projects donated to communities in need.Scholarship Our scholarship program is offered to inner city students in their senior year of high school. Students must be attending school for an art medium (such as visual, creative writing, film etc.), social justice or alternative education. Writers Block Writers' Block aims to build awareness within young graffiti writers so they can use their talents for both personal and community good. We want to begin a pipeline of graffiti artists that grow within our program, can become mentors themselves and help create a beautiful and positive street art culture in the city of Lawrence.
