- THE CAREER TRANSITION CENTER (CTC) assists job seekers and career changers through one-on-one coaching, workshops, referrals, and resources. We offer services on both the east and west side of Cleveland in libraries.OUR MISSION is to support and empower individuals during job transition and career change. We seek to combat the negative effects of the high unemployment in our local community, which is consistently over 9%, by being one of the only non-profit services in Northeast Ohio dedicated to the needs of job seekers. We also work directly with Northeast Ohio businesses to help them with employee career development and incumbent worker training while connecting these organizations with top talent for future hiring.The CTC is a non-profit organization dedicated to:-Supporting, strengthening, and empowering job seekers-Serving the Northeast Ohio area and connecting local talent with opportunities-Connecting businesses with local talent through job postings-Providing information on 21st century job search methodsThe CTC team has the experience and tools to help all workers, from mature seasoned workers (40+), to college students and graduates, to the underemployed, and women in transition, along with any other career changer. We specialize in serving the long-term unemployed mature worker (between 45 and 70), especially those with significant experience that puts them into the vanishing middle class, as they need to learn current job search skills and new technology to be considered for the jobs of today. The staff and volunteer experts are a dedicated group of passionate individuals who are committed to helping individuals attain the careers they desire.
