Art And Cook

Description

• Intelligent. Design.Art and Cook is the makers of Art and Cook, the 2004 bestseller that re-imagined the cookbook as a meditation on life, culture and artistry rather than a mere manual of recipes. From the start, Allan Ben has sought to invent and motivate, to sweep away all notions of time spent in the kitchen as drudgery; nothing less, in fact, than to explore the Zen of food preparation .Cooking is an intricate act-art form and craft; a pursuit of the senses and of the intellect-as delicately balanced as the spices in a fine dish. When Art and Cook turned its attention to revolutionizing the mechanics of cooking, it committed itself to creating tools that heighten not only efficiency, but also the visual and tactile gratification of the cooking experience. It began with a clean slate. Considered first the point of contact between cook and instrument, the handle, and developed O2 Air Grip technology, which gives the Art and Cook collection greater comfort and control than any other kitchen aids you've ever used. Next it took a fresh look at construction, and settled on a combination of materials and finishes- zinc; pearlized titanium; good old-fashioned air!that offer elegance, durability and working heft to spare. Finally, it designed every one of more than 65 tools from the ground up, incorporating labor-saving features and a sensual grace you won't find hanging on the racks of your local housewares store.Art and Cook is a marriage: of function to form, style to quality, innovation to inspiration.Come celebrate that marriage with us.
