- Disability Story: a companys whose mission is to increase the visibility of professionals with disabilities in the workforce and higher education. Disability Story provides disability inclusion consulting based on authentic experiences of professionals with disabilities rather than mere compliance with the law. Disability inclusion has to be lead by people with disabilities and our strengths and stories. The media side of my business uses blogging, social media, podcasts and documentary publications to increase public knowledge of professionals with disabilities in the first person. In the first person means the authentic words of professionals with disabilities themselves, rather than a legal, medical, psychological or institutional perspective (the third person). Our first project is a three article series on professionals with disabilities and our experiences in the workplace written by me and Heather Davis of Writerly Ink, to be released on October 14.
