- Our mission is to bring the gift of education to the developing world. We make true learning possible by building safe and inviting learning environments, driving the supply of critical learning materials, training teachers, and building the capacity of parents to help their children learn. With this four-point program, we give our communities the tools they need to support learning long after we leave the area.School the World is a rapidly growing non-profit headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. We serve the developing world in Guatemala and Honduras by focusing on literacy and sustainable global education. As of 2015 we have built 31 schools, started more than 75 classroom libraries, and trained 150 teachers and 1,750 parents. Presently, we are serving more than 4,500 children in some of the poorest communities in Central America. We are committed to reaching 50,000 children in five countries over the next five years.
