• Uffizi Order exists to equip the community to lovingly engage the marginalized while actively working for the betterment of their physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental needs.Uffizi Order is a community of businesspeople, educators, artists - in other words, people - who yearn to see Gods holistic work of transformation of structures and individuals in the city of Santa Barbara.Uffizi functions as a missional order. This means that each of its members has taken a simple set of vows. Pursuant to these vows, Uffizi members covenant before God and each other to seek the common good of the community and the city of which they are a part.To this end, Uffizi members vow to live intentionally and collaboratively, recognizing that authentic community is created on mission.In making their vows, Uffizi Order members acknowledge the inadequacy of their own strength, the certainty of falling short, and the inexhaustible love of God which makes the vows both possible to make and also worth making.Uffizi Order is not a church and its members attend various local churches, while also meeting together regularly to support one another in living missionally.Uffizis missional initiatives are collaborative in nature. We partner with churches, businesses, non-profits, government projects, volunteer groups and countless others - faith based and not - who are involved in holistic work for the common good. Uffizi members vow to learn from, and dialog with, all those with whom the Order collaborates and to deal with issues redemptively rather than judicially.
