- Halo House is a non-profit organization serving adults and children with blood cancers by providing fully-furnished temporary housing, at a very low cost, to people undergoing treatment for a blood cancer (leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma) at the Texas Medical Center. This is done by providing apartments near the Texas Medical Center for $20 per day where a patient who lives more than 50 miles from TMC can stay for two weeks to three months while receiving active treatment.To date, Halo House has served over 250 cancer patients and caregivers, provided over 16,000 days of temporary housing, and received over 2,300 applications for help.
