- Athletes Without Borders (AWB) was established in 2009. We are a youth development organization that is dedicated to providing support for young people from various backgrounds who are involved or want to get involved in sport. We work with companies and organizations around the world to empower young people and help inform them about the challenges facing them as well as offering alternative life skills geared towards conquering various life goals and enhancing their community. Follow us on: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AthletesWithoutBorders Twitter, Instagram & Vine: @AWBorders -The Athletes Without Borders Vision- To empower future generations and assist scores of youth becoming global in their thinking and through programming impart a transcending belief that limitations are a matter of choice -Athletes Without Borders Programs- * SPORT & LEADERSHIP IMMERSION - A youth introduction to non traditional sports and STEM concepts to showcase the need to push the boundaries of what is acceptable in our society and pave the way for future pioneers * SPORT BIZ SUMMER INSTITUTE - An industry immersion for young competitors of all backgrounds to experience the sport industry and work with industry professionals and expose them to one of the most sought after and most difficult fields to enter * FINANCIAL LITERACY - We examine the BROKE documentary and dig into financial literacy education for all ages and change behaviors surrounding money management for students well after graduation * BEEATLIVE - A healthy living and fight against obesity and bullying initiative * CAREER JUMPSTART- We assist young competitors, athletes and individuals from various backgrounds in understanding THEY are brands and help them manage that brand. We infuse public speaking, career training and entrepreneurial opportunities to aid in their growth and preparation for college and beyond
