• Through a variety of events and forums throughout the Midwest states and in Washington, DC, the Council provides its members with access to those policymakers, while also serving as a resource to those leaders as they work to craft policies that support economic growth.Promoting an enhanced quality of life and lucrative growth for commerce in the Midwest States, the Council acts as a non-partisan vehicle for businesses, academic and health institutions, as well as public and private organizations.The Midwest Councils mission recognizes and advocates federal public policies that are regionally and nationally affecting the prosperity of the Midwest. The Council strives to establish progressive relationships between the members and key federal policymakers, including the members of Congress and leaders of key federal agencies. As a non-partisan organization, The Council continuously nurtures collaborations with leaders on both sides of the aisle, and has won the respect of Democrats and Republicans alike.Members of the Midwest Council derive from businesses and organizations, large and small, from throughout the midwestern states.
