• The Restaurant Association of Maryland Education Foundation (RAMEF) serves as the educational arm of the Restaurant Association of Maryland. RAMEF was created by a need to improve the Maryland Foodservice industry by supplying training and addressing workforce issues all within the goal of helping Maryland Restaurants Succeed. We accomplish this through our mission of Improving the Hospitality Industry through Education, through two avenues.Our Professional Development team teaches courses that will meet the requirements from local jurisdictions in regards to food safety and alcohol awareness training. If there is a certification required then RAMEF can help you get that certification. We are consistently looking to help the industry improve by offering the professional development courses that set businesses up for success. The second avenue of our mission is achieved through our ProStart Program. ProStart® is a nationwide, two-year program for high school students that develops the best and brightest talent into tomorrows restaurant and foodservice industry leaders. From culinary techniques to management skills, ProStarts industry-driven curriculum provides real-world educational opportunities and builds practical skills and a foundation that will last a lifetime.
