• TEXSAR MissionCommitting to service-above-self, perpetual training, and inter-agency cooperation to maintain a constant state of readiness for search, rescue, incident response and above all else, safety.TEXSAR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves all citizens of Texas. It can be deployed to any region of Texas by the Governor of Texas; local, state and federal agencies; and relief organizations. There is no charge to any agency requesting assistance for TEXSAR's services. TEXSAR has formal teams based in Austin, Dallas, and in the Gulf Coast region of Texas, and more than 180 trained volunteers. TEXSAR intends on establishing more teams in other areas of Texas in the months and years ahead.TEXSAR Core Values-Integrity and Responsibility TEXSAR is founded on ethical behavior and values by our members and partners and our commitment extends throughout the organization as we interact with agencies, the public, and each other.-Fiscal Accountability We emphasize fiscal accountability by ensuring that all expenditures directly or indirectly reflect the trust placed in TEXSAR by its donors and grant providers.
