• Work for Progress is a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening organizations across the country that work for social change by meeting their staffing needs. Work for Progress recruits talented, smart, progressive job-seekers to work with the nation's leading nonprofit organizations and progressive campaigns for social justice, consumer protections and the environment.Work for Progress was started in the early part of 2008 by a group of committed activists dedicated to connecting talented, hard-working individuals with nonprofit organizations. With the importance of the issues facing our country and the excitement of the presidential primaries, it became clear to us that individuals who wanted to engage in the political process needed one place to find jobs with progressive campaigns and organizations. So Work for Progress was created to help activist-minded job seekers connect with the progressive campaigns and organizations that are working across the country on a wide range of progressive issues.In addition to our primary focus of recruiting staff, Work for Progress creates secure web-based campaign reporting systems for nonprofits and coalition-based campaigns. This allows campaign managers to quickly receive data in a standardized format from field staff in remote offices, and then have that data compiled into reports.
