- Touring & Automobile Club of the Islamic Republic of Iran (TACI) was officially founded on 7 Feb 1939. TACI has been a member of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) since 24 Apr 1926 and the Alliance Internationale de Tourisme (AIT) at about the same time. Enjoying the exclusive competence for Automobile Mobility and Tourism , the Clubs primary objective is to facilitate international travel by a car with respect to safety, mobility, environment and consumer law. It is now around 80 years that it preserves the goal of providing better services in all aspects of tourism with the slogan of Comfort & Safety for Travel . كانون جهانگردي و اتومبيلراني جمهوري اسلامي ايران در سال 1314 خورشيدي همزمان با افزايش جمعيت در دنيا و گسترش علايق كشورها به امور گردشگري و جهانگردي كه با توسعه جادهها و راههاي مواصلاتي ميان برخي كشورها همراه بود و به منظور ايجاد تسهيلات براي جهانگردان در سطح بينالمللي در ایران تاسیس شد. اين نهاد از همان زمان به عضويت سازمانهاي بينالمللي فدراسيون بينالمللي اتومبيلراني و اتحاديه بين المللي جهانگردي وابسته به سازمان ملل متحد درآمد و فعاليت رسمي خود را در سطح جهان آغاز كرد. كانون جهانگردي و اتومبيلراني ج.ا.ا پس از كسب مجوز و موافقت دولت و مجلس در سال 1313 به عنوان چهارمين مؤسسه رسمي كشور در سال 1317 در اداره ثبت شركتها و مؤسسات غير تجاري به ثبت رسيد و هم اكنون بيش از سه ربع قرن است كه با هدف ارائه خدمات بهتر در تمامي ابعاد گردشگري و با شعار «آرامش خاطروامنيت سفر» مشغول ارائه خدمات به جهانگردان اعم از خارجي و ايراني بوده است.
