• Big Brothers Big Sisters creates life-changing friendships by matching children facing adversity with caring, adult role models in one-to-one friendships. Bigs and Littles spend time together by doing normal, everyday activities such as watching a movie or going to the park. The friendship that is built will often times last a lifetime and will create positive change in both the volunteer and the child. Studies show that kids with Bigs are proven to receive better grades, are less likely to use drugs and alcohol, have improved self esteem, get along better with their families and are more likely to graduate from high school and college.There are many ways to help out Big Brothers Big Sisters including becoming a Big, becoming a financial supporter, sponsoring special events and initiatives, donating clothing, becoming a member of our Board of Directors or other groups such as the Big Impact Group or the Diversity Task Force.
