- Process Wastewater Technologies LLC, or PWTech, was spun off in 2006 from the wastewater and combined sewer overflow (CSO) divisions of CDS Technologies, Inc. PWTech's initial success was based on a high-rate screening technology known as continuous deflective separation (CDS), refined by PWTech engineers. Developed during the early 1990s, continuous deflective separation rapidly became the number one technology across the United States for storm water treatment, and then was adapted to be utilized in the treatment of CSOs as well. Process Wastewater Technologies continues to be a leading manufacturer of products for the wastewater and CSO treatment industry. The Volute Dewatering Press has become an increasingly popular choice for automated, low-maintenance dewatering, replacing conventional belt presses and screw presses to provide a 21st century dewatering method, while new Raked Bar Screens and CDS solutions are installed across the United States.
