- In 1972, when OSHA was founded, there were 10.9 recordable injuries per 100 workers, in 2013 there were 3.3 per 100 full-time workers. Were making progress. However, every day in America, 13 people go to work and never come home. That is unacceptable. To quote Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis, These are preventable tragedies that disable our workers, devastate our families, and damage our economy. At Black Box Safety, we specialize in identifying uncontrolled risk and helping our customers reduce risk to their employees to an acceptable level. We do this through a three step process, step one-evaluation of the hazard, step two-documentation of the hazard, step three-delivery of safety products, medical supplies and safety training. And we do all this with unmatched experience and passion. In 2002, Black Box Safety founder and CEO, Jackson Dalton, was injured while serving in the United States Marine Corp. The injury changed Jacksons life forever and instilled in him a drive to help others through a career in Occupational Health and Safety. Jackson has devoted his life to making sure that people dont get hurt at work so that they can continue to do the things they love. With over 12 years of experience, a masters degree in Public Health, and genuine enthusiasm for his mission to help others, Jackson delivers more than just a product. As a Board-Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and former Corporate Safety Engineer, Jackson has the expertise and experience to identify your safety needs and recommend the best products suited for the job and to teach your employees how to use them.
