    Description

    • Among Friends is a non-profit activity center for adults with special needs and disabilities, based in Norman, Oklahoma. In 2003, after realizing the Norman area didn't have anywhere for adults with special needs to spend their day, Cathe Fox started a small group of six adults with special needs and their mothers, who spent one day a week together. After receiving a donation in 2005 from the Oklahoma Cerebral Palsy organization, Among Friends moved into our current building with about a dozen clients. Throughout the next years, Among Friends grew in numbers and facility size. Today, we have a full kitchen, large game and meal area, and a Health & Wellness Center for members to exercise in. Among Friends is a very special place with a goal to always serve people with special needs and disabilities, offering them hope for a better tomorrow.
