• The WV Chamber of Commerce is the unified voice of the business community, aggressively advocating the business viewpoint in the shaping of public policy, encouraging ethical business practices and ensuring the state's future as economically prosperous, educationally competitive and environmentally responsible. From its beginnings more than 70 years ago, the WV Chamber of Commerce has evolved into the premier business association in the state. Today, the WV Chamber represents more than 4,000 business leaders and customers who share a strong interest in enhancing and protecting the state's economic future. Our membership represents more than 1,000 members across West Virginia from all facets of business and industry, with our members employing over half of West Virginia's private workforce. Our membership efforts are accelerating as we continue to provide excellent services to our members through our powerful grassroots network consisting of thousands of business professionals, local chambers across the state and trade organizations and their members. Strength in numbers continues to help the WV Chamber influence policymakers in areas such as business taxation, environmental and safety issues, workers' compensation, health care and education reform. Our mission is not always easy, but the WV Chamber continues to provide leadership as a catalyst, consensus-builder and advocate to unite business and advance West Virginia.
