Established in 1962, First General Services has evolved into the premier restoration, fire repair and disaster services company of the CSRA. For almost fifty years, The Jernigan Family has continuously and consistently been involved with the Augusta, GA community providing construction services and fire repair through out the Central Savannah River Area. In 1962, my father, Lee Jernigan, Sr., first began as a contractor and developer of subdivisions and commercial projects. As the construction business expanded in the 1980s; I officially joined the company in 1984, after earning my Engineering Degree from Georgia Southern University. Together my father and I developed Pheasant Run Subdivision as well as mini storage units, office buildings, and built many beautiful homes together. The key to Jernigan Constructions success was integrity, honesty, hard work, and being a good steward of money. Committed to those key values instilled by my parents, I started First General Services of the CSRA in 1989. As a nationwide organization we comprised one of the largest networks of independent insurance fire repair companies in the country and became an innovative force in the insurance restoration industry. Over the years, we have worked with many insurers as a Preferred Direct Repair Contractor, enhancing the fire repair services we provide to policyholders. Today, led by my wife, Susan S. Jernigan, we continue to employ those traditional values as our foundation and embrace the advancements in technology by implementing computer systems, and software applications to advance our responsiveness, precision and quality of service required to take First General Services to the next level. When a disaster occurs it is personal, emotional, and overwhelming. Our goal is to return your life to normal as quickly as possible and with the best quality reconstruction available. We not only want to restore your property we strive to restore your peace of mind.
