Now located on Broadway, dJ Originals showcases Denniss renowned artwork. His jewelry features fine quality gems set in precious metals ranging from everyday gold earrings to one-of-a-kind diamond engagements rings. These individual works of art are handcrafted using traditional goldsmithing techniques. For over 25 years, deJonghe Original Jewelry has been an integral part of the creative atmosphere in this historic setting and owner Dennis deJonghe has become the premier jewelry designer in Upstate New York. Many private collectors in North America and Europe own deJonghe pieces.Artist StatementJewelry reflects the artistic taste of the wearer. Oscar Wilde stated, One should be a work of art or wear a work of art. I approach jewelry as miniature sculpture, to be viewed from all sides and yet be functional to enhance the body. Being influenced by sea forms and nature I have developed a style that of soft curving lines. Design elements of balance, form and color are incorporated into each piece. I believe the quality of the craftsmanship and materials are equal to the integrity of the design.
