Popular venues: 101 Restaurant Situated in the heart of downtown Tallahassees Kleman Plaza, 101 Restaurant combines southern hospitality with big city style.101 Restaurant has been a staple for downtown diners over the years, just steps away from the Capitol and a few blocks from the Florida State University campus. The restaurants regulars include FSU athletes, professors, journalists, lobbyists, lawmakers and other celebrities from around the state. With the introduction of Executive Chef David Davidson, a Tallahassee culinary legend who most recently served Governor Rick Scott as a chef at the Governors Mansion, 101 has quickly become the hottest meal ticket in town Mint Martini Bar Mint Martini Bar provides a downtown, urban influenced atmosphere. Mint hosts a unique interior club space which best compliments Dance Parties, Mixers, PanHellenic Functions, and Staged Events accommodating 100 to 400 guests. Also included is a full liquor bar, projection screen, DJ booth, performance stage, and flexible seating arrangements: bar, banquet, high tops, ottomans, and lounge seating. The Edison The owners have secured a long term lease and financing to develop a new restaurant in a historic brick building that was the original power plant of Tallahassee built in 1920. The building is located in the center of Cascades Park, a brand new $30 million park and will feature enormous arched windows, exposed brick and ceilings as well as a new raised deck overlooking Tallahassees outdoor amphitheater. The concept will have over 100 interior seats and 100 more on its decks as well as a separate banquet room overlooking the Citys skyline.
