• The South Shore Leadership Center (SSLC) is a non-profit organization that builds and develops leadership capacity throughout Northwest Indiana. An affiliate of Purdue University Northwest, the SSLC partners with education, business, manufacturing, environmental, arts & humanities, healthcare, economic, and government sectors or organizations to improve the awareness and knowledge of the opportunities and challenges facing Northwest Indiana. SSLC works in partnership with community and organizations to develop and engage thoughtful leaders who will make a difference in Northwest Indiana and beyond.Our mission is to engage skilled and collaborative leaders who stimulate vibrant communities. And to inform and involve leaders who are committed to advancing the quality of life in the seven counties of Northwest Indiana.Participants enrolled in SSLC programs represent a wide variety and diverse spectrum of leaders in Northwest Indiana. Everyone from high school students to the most experienced and established are present in our programs. Participants are presented with opportunities to become more deeply educated and then they are charged to go out and be change agents in their personal and professional lives.Members of the SSLC community are invited to join with a cohort of other leaders in order to be informed and involved in creating quality of place.
