• 2006 will mark Sheila Eldridges (founder and owner of Miles Ahead Broadcasting) second-coming, as she brings a diverse body of knowledge full circle to join the league of broadcast ownership. After acquiring more than 35 years of education and experience in the fields of broadcasting, corporate communications, entertainment & product marketing, Ms. Eldridge is well-equipped and prepared. Ms. Eldridges career launched as a graduate of Howard Universitys School of Communications in Washington, D.C., where she began her professional career in broadcasting at the highly successful WHUR-FM. She would later tackle the countrys #2 market, working at Los Angeles stations KGFJ-AM and KACE-FM in marketing and promotions respectively to help further her experience and national contacts in both advertising and radio. An accomplished and savvy businesswoman, Eldridge saw the growing Internet market and chose to continue her education at UCLAs graduate program to focus on the cyberspace, new technology and the growing marketing opportunities within that sector. An entrepreneur at heart Eldridge started Miles Ahead Entertainment to provide specialized services in both broadcast and Internet marketing in addition to cross promotions for such corporate and sports entities as Coca-Cola, McDonalds, AT&T, Burger King, Coors, PSE&G, Mobil, Boost Mobile, Janet Jackson, Ice T, Ray Allen, Terrell Owens, Richard Hamilton to name a few.In 1999, MAE landed the ABC Radio Networks account, creating an invaluable opportunity to work with the popular Tom Joyner Morning Show and Doug Banks Morning Show as well as assist in the marketing and development of the ABC gospel and urban news formats. Identifying their work with ABC Radio Networks, MAE was tapped by both Crawford Broadcasting and Inner City Broadcasting to provide services.
