While becoming a physician, he recognized that the unique process medical schools use to transform people from no healthcare knowledge into physicians could serve as a model to improve EMT education.This experience led him to discover that gaining deep understanding of the core concepts is one of the keys to student success, rather than focusing solely on rote memorization of material as was the case when he originally became an EMT.Inspired to make this life-saving education accessible to more people and to change the fact that one-third of new EMTs fail their certification exam each year, Dr. Ewen started Allied Medical Training in 2010.By applying exclusive learning techniques normally reserved to educate physicians, we make an extraordinary learning experience accessible to everyone.Now a leader in the Emergency Medical Services education field, our methodology results in faster learning and superior student outcomes through online education, innovative curriculum design, and simulated clinical training.Our leaders and instructors are a diverse group of professionals from EMTs and Paramedics to Physicians, a JD, and even a Pharmacist.
