• El Paso Exploreum is the first dedicated childrens museum in El Paso, Texas, conveniently located in the Downtown Arts District at 300 W. San Antonio Ave. The Exploreum is a living laboratory museum designed to give visitors an active voice in the development of a permanent childrens museum. Offering a wide variety of interactive exhibits for all ages, The museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. except Sundays, when doors open at noon. The last admission is 5 p.m. Inside, visitors will find 12,000-square-feet of hands-on fun in four theme areas: construction, aviation, role-play and high tech. In STEAM Ahead, visitors solve real-world engineering problems by designing, building, testing and modifying structures. The High Tech Hot spot showcases the future with a multiplayer touch screen table and an interactive floor. In Airport Adventure, the museum partnered with Southwest Airlines to provide children a whimsical kid-sized airport with control tower and climb-on planes. The Old El Paso Village offers the traditional grocery store found in most childrens museums with a turn-of-the-century feel. Visitors will experience the old red schoolhouse and a bank, and an opportunity to get the feel of a saddle.Tickets to the El Paso Exploreum are $8 for ages 2 to 60.
