- StormTree is a stormwater management system that integrates common street trees with stormwater runoff collection and pollutant remediation through a variety of physical, chemical, and biological processes. Unlike closed concrete box systems, the StormTree system has a unique open design which not only allows for direct vertical infiltration of cleansed stormwater to replenish the native groundwater, but also has side openings, to allow for additional infiltration, as well as allowing for unrestricted root growth to support healthy tree growth. StormTree systems are a cost effective alternative to conventional stormwater box systems and can be designed and configured in multiple ways to handle your most challenging site constraints in the urban or suburban landscape.
