- Bridging Access to Care, Inc. (formerly known as The Brooklyn AIDS Task Force) is nonprofit, multi-service community-based organization providing comprehensive clinical treatment, prevention education and mental health services within at-risk communities in New York City. Over the Past 30 years, BAC has engaged over 110,000 individuals and families.Founded in 1985, BAC has since provided HIV/AIDS education, prevention and treatment, including HIV primary care and counseling and testing, as well as state licensed substance abuse treatment services and prevention services. BAC's comprehensive services include housing placement assistance/living skills education and COBRA case management; treatment education and adherence services; nutritional services, mental health screening, case management, youth services, and employment services; risk- reduction/harm reduction services; adolescent peer education; and several behavioral modification programs targeting ex-offenders and/or recently incarcerated individuals with long histories of substance abuse.
