• Ms. Deb Mills-Scofield is the owner of Mills-Scofield, LLC. Deb is an innovator and strategic thinker with over 20 years experience in industries as diverse as the Internet, Healthcare, Manufacturing, and Services with companies ranging from start-ups to multinationals across the world. She helps organizations create and implement highly actionable, measurable, and profitable strategic plans and cultures to foster innovation. She also is a Partner with Glengary LLC, an early-stage Venture Capital firm in Cleveland, Ohio. In the spirit of Open Innovation and Collaboration, Deb is a co-creator of the recently released book Business Model Generation and is working with Steve Denning on his new book. Her career started at AT&T Bell Lab, where she received a patent in the early 80s. She was instrumental in getting AT&T to recognize and embrace the Internet's impact, helping create AT&T's Internet Carve-Out Startup known as AT&T WorldNet® Services. Deb also is involved in several activities mentoring entrepreneurs in Northeast Ohio and through her alma mater via the Brown University Entrepreneurship Program, Browns Women's Launch Pad Program and Alumni Career Mentoring. She has taught at several business schools (e.g., Univ. of Pittsburghs and CWRUs Weatherhead) and is a Growth Partner at Baldwin-Wallace Colleges Center for Innovation and Growth. As part of her practice, Deb asks her clients to give away 10% of her fee to improve lives and mentor an entrepreneur. Deb graduated from Brown University (1982), completing her degree in three years and helping create the Cognitive Science concentration at Brown.
