Reflective Solar Tracks achieve this by tracking the location of the sun throughout the entire day using a photovoltaic sensor. This allows the solar panels to face the sun as the sun changes position in the sky, thus optimizing energy production by increasing the solar day from 3-4(depending on location) to 8-10 hours a day. The Reflective Solar Tracker uses reflectors, thus obtaining the benefit of additional sunlight onto the solar panels during periods of low light or shading from obstacles on the horizon. Its these two key factors that allow for an increase in energy collection that can be up to a 100% more in comparison to stationary solar installations.
