- My partner, Justin Arquilla, and I have developed a new footwear accessory. The product is called Gekks and it is a low cut liner sock for men and women who wear shoes barefoot (Sperry Top Siders, loafers, drivers, wing tips, etc.). The unique value add of the product is a pressure sensitive adhesive surface coated on the outside of the liner sock, which allows it to semi-permanently stick to the inside of your shoe. Bottom line, you still slip in and out of those shoes barefoot, but when inside, get the benefits of a thin, breathable liner keeping you dry and cool. Part of the yarn composition is an antimicrobial silver yarn called XStatic; the same yarn woven in Lululemon and Patagonia products. Xstatic silver yarns eliminate odor as you sweat, allowing you to wear Gekks in your shoes for a long time before washing and neither the liners or your feet will smell.
