Rickyrides

Description

• RickyRides was created in 2011 as a response to the continued frustration we faced with trying to carpool to music festivals. The websites that had been created were structured as chat rooms and forums, where each thread tends to be tedious to sift through. At RickyRides we decided to visually show a users location coupled with Google Maps integration. This allows people to choose which rides are closest to them and the ability to message that person. RickyRides caters to events, schools, and businesses. and soon we will partnering with all three to provide carpooling options to students, employees, and event attendees. RickyRides has been growing steadily each year and connecting more people than ever before. We have been asked to be the official ride-sharing partner with many music festivals and hope for more to come. Many changes will be coming to the website and many more options will become available to users. We hope to spread the idea of carpooling and sharing in the years to come. It is an important issue and we would like to do our part to help. Think about the empty car seats you see everyday and how much could be changed if we had a way to fill those spots . Our website is one way of many to make new connections with people, save money, time, and natural resources.
