Description

RAbD is a new biotechnology company founded by Gregory Adams, Ph.D., Matthew Robinson, Ph.D. and Roland Dunbrack, Ph.D. that is focused on the knowledge-based design of biological agents that bind to key functional, often highly conserved and difficult to target antigenic epitopes or receptors. We are using homology modeling, crystal structures, protein docking and design software and, in the case of antibody development, new algorithms to drive combinatorial sampling of CDRs to computationally design new antibodies and then express, validate and perform further design in an iterative manner.RAbD is currently engaged in a sponsored research agreement for a biotechnology company to re-engineer a promising antibody that can not be developed clinically due to poor stability and seek expression properties. We are seeking seed funding to help develop our lead agent, a novel biologic agent for the treatment of ovarian cancer and venture capital funds to further operationalize RAbD and further develop our own pipeline agents for the treatment of cancer.
