• Promoting the community and its economy is vital to the chamber. The Wayland Area Chamber of Commerce is an independent, private, non-profit organization financed by its members to promote business and advocate on their behalf. It is not a government agency and is autonomous from the City of Wayland. The Chamber recognizes that our most valuable resources are our members, volunteers and staff, and that by working together and using our resources in a balanced manner will we accomplish our set mission. Our members consist of over 200 local business owners. While many of the members have an actual storefront in Wayland or the nearby area, we have many businesses that are managed from home or have a mobile business. The chamber holds several networking events each year including various types of formal and informal gatherings, the annual golf outing, and the annual business EXPO. Our members are also encouraged to initiate member networking events that the chamber will help organize and plan.
