• Banisters Leadership Academy's vision is to turn Leaders into Legends through our mission to strengthen youth and their families with enrichment, empowerment, and extended academic success. We provide services and programs that demonstrate leadership, life and social skills for youth and their families to use to plan, organize and live successfully now and in the future through enrichment programs that teach and model Banisters 12 Pillars of Leadership to various community organizations. We empower youth through several programs, such as our North South and East Omaha Youth Leadership Advocacy Boards, Friday Night Lights and Saturday Night LIFE (Leadership in a Fun Environment), that are designed to help youth make better decisions with the ability to plan, organize and fulfill successful lives on their own terms.Banister's Leadership Academy realizes that education is the most important thing a person carries with them. Therefore, we offer extended academic success through our after school program partnerships with the North Omaha Learning Center (formerly Edmonson Youth Outreach Center) where Level of Leadership support is offered and provides a child with a mentor and a tutor to provide friendship as a positive role model and help them complete homework assignments, learn the lessons of life in a group and individual setting. In short, we Turn Leaders into Legends.
