- Founded in May 2011, Hensler Surgical Products, LLC is a Wilmington, N.C.- based medical device company. Friends and colleagues, Sean Hensler, a Neurosurgical Physician Assistant, and Dr. Thomas Melin, Neurosurgeon, formed Hensler Surgical Products as a way to conceive, develop and introduce leading surgical innovations into the medical field. Hensler Surgicals first product to market is the Hensler Bone Press (HBP). The HBP is an innovative, disposable device designed to both collect and separate fluids from valuable autologous bone. The target autograft is harvested from the bone generated by the high speed drill. The bone can be immediately available for surgical bone fusion procedures, such as spinal fusions, malunion/non-union cases, podiatry and cranial applications, to name a few.The device is compliant with all safety regulations in the US and has a CE marked status. The company is ISO 13485 compliant and it's use is spreading on a global scale.
