- Farrell's eXtreme Bodyshaping is an all inclusive, body transformation fitness program. Fitness kickboxing, strength training, nutrition counseling, coaching and a contest are combined to help students take the necessary steps to build healthy habits and reshape their bodies. Farrell's began as a single taekwondo school in Des Moines, IA. Prior to the opening of the Des Moines location, founder Lance Farrell taught martial arts in various community centers in rural West-Central Iowa. The single school became several, and in 1998, the first fitness kickboxing classes were introduced at Farrell's, and the 10-Week challenge including strength training, before and after photos and a contest was started in 2001. In 2006, the first few independent Farrell's eXtreme Bodyshaping location was opened in the Des Moines area, and the company franchised in 2008. Today there are more than 50 locations in 9 states.
