- AFFECT, Inc. (owned and operated by Ramon Hodridge, M.Ed. and Thurston Lamb, Ph.D.) is a nonprofit corporation established to provide services in Plano, Texas especially the Douglass Community and the surrounding cities throughout Texas. The effective date of the corporation is April 30, 2010. The mission of the AFFECT, Inc. is to be the leader in affecting positive changes in the lives of those living in the Douglass Community in Plano, TX and surrounding areas. We empower and inspire members of the community by providing resources, consulting services, and training to continuously improve Texas communities. AFFECTs long term vision is a community where everyones basic needs are met. To accomplish this in the short term we will provide resources, consulting and training to empower the individuals, youth, married couples, and ex-offenders in our community. Our goal is to make long lasting improvement in the community.
