- The Big Muddy Dance Company's mission is to invigorate life through dance. A St. Louis-based repertory dance company, the Big Muddy provides fun, experiential and highly entertaining performances, engages with both emerging and renowned choreographers, and collaborates across the community through outreach. The company hopes to build a love of dance among students and audiences alike by training and developing talent for the future and intriguing its audiences, while remaining dedicated to artistic excellence in classical and contemporary dance. The Big Muddy Dance Company currently resides at the Marcelle Theater in Grand Center. The organization has developed into three major entities: The Big Muddy Dance Company, producing both major productions and community performances for fellow nonprofits; our open classes, which offers classes to adults as well as a training program for pre-professional dancers; and Senior Embrace, the company's senior citizen outreach program.
