• Located minutes from downtown Indianapolis, Providence Cristo Rey (PCRHS) is a private, college-preparatory high school for students from families with limited financial means. PCRHS combines rigorous classroom instruction with real-life corporate work study experiences for our students by partnering with the finest businesses and corporations in the Indianapolis area. Our Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) program allows PCRHS to make a faith-based, college preparatory education affordable to all students and families who could not otherwise afford a Catholic education. Students spend one day a week at their CWSP job site gaining valuable job experience and paying for 60% of their high school tuition as they prepare for college. The CWSP partners contract to fill one full-time entry level job in their office for less than the cost of employing a single full-time worker or contractor. Moreover, they tell us that a student team adds fresh energy, enthusiasm, diversity and productivity to their business. Sponsored by the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, IN, PCRHS is one of 24 schools nationwide that are members of the Cristo Rey Network. In 2010-2011 Cristo Rey Network schools will serve more than 6,500 students. 95% of Cristo Rey students are racial minorities. 100% of the Networks 2010 graduates were accepted in a two or four year college and, through their work-study jobs, students earned more than $34 million dollars toward their high school tuition
