• Bethesda has served the Willmar and surrounding communities for more than 118 years and will continue to be here for the community into the future. As a non-profit, independent, faith-based organization, Bethesda is committed to enriching the quality of life for older adults through healthcare and housing, as well as through community-based outreach programs for seniors living independently. Our care programs meet the needs of the entire spectrum of the senior population; from those who desire to live independently, to those who require skilled nursing care or short-term therapy services. While currently expanding, building plans include relocating 125 skilled nursing care beds from Heritage Center onto our Pleasant View Campus into distinct neighborhoods that will enhance quality of life and sense of purpose by creating familiar spaces for resident use. Plans also include the construction of a new 36-bed short-term care therapy building that will reflect an environment of wellness and healing for post-acute recovery. This expansion will introduce a new kind of enhanced continuing care retirement community that encourages active lifestyles and community relationships â all on one campus! When complete, there will be a thriving town center encompassing independent living, assisted living and memory care, a short-term care therapy program, a wellness center, walking paths, a cafĂŠ, a chapel and other amenities. This is a true community project developed by local area residents, business leaders, volunteers and staff of Bethesda.
