• Newborns in Need, Inc. (NIN) is a 501(c) 3 charity organized to help provide for babies in need throughout the United States. Headquartered in North Carolina, we have over 60 chapters situated in communities across the nation. Except for a small staff in the national office, Newborns In Need is comprised of hard-working volunteers, passionate about making a difference for the little ones in their area and beyond.NIN volunteers provide care necessities to agencies and hospitals serving premature, ill or impoverished newborns. Founded upon Christian principles, NIN has provided essential items, at no charge, to those in need since 1992.Additionally, we have some special volunteers that make bereavement items for the sweet little angels that don't make it. Our volunteers lovingly handcraft such things as burial gowns/garments, memory envelopes, blankets, hats, and other memorial items. Many of these volunteers have faced infant loss themselves and use this outlet to honor their own child; while others wish to use their talent to offer comfort to a grieving family. It is an honor for Newborns In Need to be able to assist grieving parents in a meaningful way during their time of tragic loss.Whether crafted with love by the hands of a volunteer or donated by others who understand we need to take care of each other, Newborns In Need has positioned itself as the first response for the baby in crisis.
