- Security Engineered Machinery (SEM) is the largest direct supplier of information destruction equipment in the U.S. for government end-users. Primary systems include paper and hard drive shredders and crushers, disintegrators, magnetic media degaussers, solid state media destruction solutions and optical media destroyers. SEM also has a nationwide shredding service with a particular focus on information security that resides on electronic media, such as hard drives, data tapes, solid state devices and optical media.Other areas of expertise include high security devices, which meet the DoD and NSA standards for Classified and Top Secret Data Destruction. We also offer customized equipment for size reduction and for destroying off-spec or returned product for the pharmaceutical, medical device, gaming and food industries. Heavy-duty, high capacity shredders are also offered for on-site recycling and asset management solutions.As a Veteran Owned entity, SEM holds GSA Contracts for both office machinery (GS-02F-0111P ) and Information Technology (GS-35F-005AA) and has been supplying information destruction equipment and services to the US Government and Private Industry for over 48 years.
