• The Medical Group of Ohio (MGO) was purchased on January 1, 2017.----The Medical Group of Ohio (MGO) is one of the largest Independent Physician Associations (IPA) in the country, comprised of more than 2,500 physicians practicing in 30 counties across Ohio. Physician-owned and operated, we focus on keeping MGO physicians and their practices at the forefront of healthcare by providing them with the tools, resources, assistance and infrastructure they need to succeed. We have effectively led physicians through the many changes in healthcare for the past 20 years by working together as a business to achieve our mission of improving the process of delivering healthcare and enhancing the professional satisfaction of MGO physicians. In 2010, MGO created a clinically integrated network called Health4 in partnership with OhioHealth (a family of not-for-profit hospitals). Health4 brings all healthcare parties togetherpatients, employers, insurers and healthcare providersin a clinically integrated effort to improve the quality of care and lower the cost of care throughout Ohio. Health4/MGO's clinically integrated physician network is utilized by more employers and commercial carriers than any other clinically integrated network in central Ohio.
