• Kulea Childcare Villages, Inc. is a faith based charity founded in 2009 to rescue and raise orphans and vulnerable children in East Africa. Kulea USA works with Kulea Tanzania and Kulea Kenya to identify and care for the children we serve. Kulea's mission is rescue and raise children in homes, providing them with quality education and health care. It's our goal to raise a generation of leaders who will impact their communities for good. We are planning our villages to be self-sustainable communities where children can grow up with hope in their future. We are in the initial stages of developing our first Childcare Village, named Ubazi Village, in Tanzania. At the same time, we are constructing a new worship center for the local church in Chalinze, Tanzania. Kulea also has Preschool & Feeding programs in two locations to help families who cannot afford to send their children to preschool. We also assist vulnerable children (with at least one living relative capable of caring for them) with school necessities such as uniforms, books, shoes, and even tuition if needed. We check on these children to be sure the caregiver remains capable of providing food and clothes for them and we assist as needed. Kulea USA leads volunteer teams 1 or 2 times per year to serve in Tanzania or Kenya at our project sites. These trips typically last 12 days and include a 3 day, 2 night safari.
