- Next Generation Software was founded by Len Yabloko in 2000 as software consultancy and used as a vehicle for development of OntoSpace intellectual property and its applications.Since 2004 NGS was developing the ontology-based database access software, OntoBase, which is available as open source plug-in to Protege, the knowledge management system developed at Stanford University. It can be accessed at http://code.google.com/p/ontobase/ In 2010 NGS was awarded a Small Business Innovative Research phase 1 contract from the US Department of Defence to develop a prototype DATALATOR utility for autonomous data integration in dynamic environments such as urban battlefield.
